How to Check How Long Your Windows PC Has Been Turned On
To check how long your computer has been running since it was last turned on, follow the steps below on a Windows PC.
Step 1: Open Task Manager
You can open Task Manager in either of the following ways:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on your keyboard
- Or click the Search icon on the taskbar, type Task Manager, and open it
Step 2: Open the Performance Tab
Once Task Manager is open, click on the Performance tab at the top.
Step 3: Click on CPU
On the left-hand side of the Performance window, click CPU.
Step 4: Check “Up Time”
Look for Up Time at the bottom of the CPU details.
The time is displayed in the format DD:HH:MM:SS, which represents:
DD – Days
HH – Hours
MM – Minutes
SS – Seconds
This shows how long your computer has been running since the last time it was shut down or restarted.
