How to Fix “Can’t Connect to This Network” (Wi-Fi Password Is Correct)

Sometimes your computer fails to connect to a Wi-Fi network even though the password is correct. Windows may display the error message “Can’t connect to this network.” This can happen due to a saved network profile issue especially when using a mobile hotspot.

Solution: Forget the Network and Reconnect

Follow these steps:

1. Open Wi-Fi Settings

Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar
Select Network & Internet settings

Can’t connect to this network.

2. Manage Known Networks

Click Wi-Fi
Select Manage known networks
Can’t connect to this network.

3. Forget the Problematic Network

Find your Wi-Fi or Mobile Hotspot name
Click on it and select Forget
Can’t connect to this network

4.Reconnect

Go back to the Wi-Fi list
Select the network again
Enter the correct password
Click Connect
